The V2 Stage 1 makes MORE POWER and MORE AVERAGE TORQUE than the stock cam, making it a perfect candidate for those looking to drive like stock but pick up a lot of Torque and HP in the process. This cam will have a very slight lope with aftermarket exhaust, but with a stock exhaust, it will sound close to stock. The Stage 1 grind is a popular choice for those looking to convert DOD/AFM, or just add some pep to your truck's step. VVT engines will require a VVT conversion kit. If installing in an engine originally equipped with a 1-bolt camshaft, a 3-bolt conversion kit will be required. Due to their heavier valve weight, a dual valve spring kit or PAC 1218 (or similar) springs are recommended for 6.2L engines and 2007-later rectangle port 6.0L engines.
