Centurion LX is a professional quality line of linen pre-stretched canvas crafted with a hearty 11 ounce, triple-primed acid-free linen canvas suitable for any paint including oil painting, acrylic, watercolor, gouache, alkyd, and casein. These linen canvases are museum quality, ensuring they are durable and designed to protect your artwork for generations. The longer linen fibers, compared to cotton canvas fibers, can last through generations with proper care. Additionally, these linen canvases feature a non-mechanical surface with a lovely texture that performs exceptionally well with glazing and impasto techniques. Larger sizes are braced to maintain stability, providing rigid support for your paintings. They are hand-stretched onto the back of kiln-dried pine wood stretcher bars, and back stapled to allow the use of a corner key for tightening and adjustments, or re-stretching if necessary. The 1.5" depth is ideal for most techniques, and the edges may be painted for frameless presentation.
