The Do 28 is one of the lightest short take-off transports for up to 12 passengers and was built from 1961. The Do 28D was primarily intended for export to African countries. Later it was used as a twin-engined trainer for novice pilots and as a freight and liaison aircraft for the Luftwaffe flying units.
