Due to long links, the collar doesn't cause hair damage.To get the profitable results in training, combine tightening and releasing the collar, using the leash. Tightening will show your canine that behavior is wrong, while the combination of these two actions will help him/her to understand how you expect him/her to behave.This training collar is 21 inches/54 cm long. It will do for canines with a 18-19 inches/45-48 cm neck circumference.How to measure your dog for the chain collar:Measure 1) the largest part of your dog's head, and 2) the middle of his/her neck.Determine the size of the collar you need using your dog’s head measurements if your dog's head is larger than his/her neck.Determine the size of the collar you need using your dog’s neck measurements if his/her neck is larger than the head.Now add 2" to to the above measurements (head or neck) for larger dogs and 1" to 1.5" for smaller dogs.
