Product Description Toggle bolts are ideal in many horizontal and vertical applications where other anchors would be difficult to set. The strong spring action open wings quickly and positively after insertion through wall. The spring action wings disperse the weight of the secured item over a larger area, increasing the weight that can be secured compared to a regular screw. Excellent for use where thickness of material is unknown or inconsistent. To install: Insert the screw through the hole in the item to be mounted and thread on the toggle wing. Drill an appropriate size hole completely through the wall, fold the wings back and insert through the wall, allowing the wings to open completely, pull back to hold wings against the back side of the wall, and tighten the screw securely. Toggle wings will be lost when screw is removed. From the Manufacturer Toggle bolts come with spring-action wings and are intended for anchoring into hollow walls. The wing is designed to spread apart behind the base material upon installation for firm hold in hollow wall applications.
