To check/change carbon brushes. follow these directions: 1. Unplug your Air Force dryer 2. Remove the blower end cap by removing the 2 to 4 Phillip Head screws normally found on all Air Force, Commander, and Top Gun Dryers 3. After removing the blower end cap, the top of the motor with carbon brushes on either side will be exposed. See chart for correct carbon brush part number 4. Loosen tab from brush assembly using flat blade screwdriver (see listing infographic) 5. Loosen and remove the two screws in the brush bracket, remove the bracket, then brush 6. Insert new brush assembly in place and replace brush bracket by replacing and tightening the two screws 7. Insert the brush tab into the new brush assembly 8. Replace the end cap and screws. If your machine was purchased before 1998, these carbon brushes will not fit. Please call customer service at 800-822-1602 to order the correct carbon brushes.
