This high-fire, English porcelain plate by Nels Linde of Hawkdancing Studio depicts a koala bear with extended claws! It was created with sprayed slip decoration, black line work, and air-brushed color onto white porcelain. The koala's paw is sculpted into the plate rim, creating a three-dimensional appearance. Food, dishwasher and microwave safe.
About the artist:
I pursued a studio arts degree for two years at the University of Minnesota, before becoming a full-time ceramic artist in Wisconsin in 1975. I exhibited nationally at art shows and galleries in California, New Mexico, New York, Florida, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan, Minnesota, and Wisconsin.
