These are plastic hinges designed to attach to resin blanks, facilitating a moving jaw. Straight hinges function similarly to V or hybrid hinges for a moving jaw, but some users prefer V/hybrid hinges for added sensitivity and accommodation of larger heads. V hinges are also more versatile for use on other makers' heads.
