A Gewinde-Grenzlehrdorn is a blend of a Gutlehrdorn and Ausschusslehrdorn. The Ausschuss side of the Gewindelehrdorn is marked with a red ring. The Gut side of the Gewindelehrdorn should screw into the cut thread of a workpiece by hand (without extra force). If not possible, the thread doesn't meet the desired standards (Ausschuss). The Ausschuss side can screw in up to two turns by hand. More than that indicates the thread doesn't meet the desired standards. A reference temperature of 20° Celsius applies to the workpieces and gauges. VÖLKEL offers a factory calibration certificate upon request. Independent lab calibration follows set standards (DIN, ISO, ANSI) on IAC-Gewindescannern.
