Rolling Wheel Wet Film Thickness Gauge (0-25 µm)

The gauge consists of an eccentric inner wheel supported by two large outer concentric wheels. At a specific point, the inner wheel touches and picks up the wet film when the gauge is rolled on the coated surface. The critical clearance may be read on a rotating scale. The gauge's body and the center holder are made of high-grade stainless steel. The scale value is cast on 1 side. The wheel is a high precision, the accurate instrument which is easy to use. The central wheel is of a smaller diameter and is eccentric relative to the two outer wheels. The center wheel eventually touches the film by rolling the gauge through a wet coating. This point on the scale indicates the thickness. When the volume-to-solids ratio of the layer is known (generally found on the product datasheet supplied by the manufacturer), the wet film thickness can be used to predict the dry film thickness.
