Genuine shell cordovan. Raw material native to South America and Eastern Europe. Veg-tanned, colored and finished in Italy and South America. Each cordovan shell is an oval-shaped piece of hide that covers the rear hip of the horse. 100% natural aniline dyed finish which shows all of the beauty and uniqueness of shell cordovan leather. Tight grain with minimal wrinkling. Naturally high gloss which can be easily maintained by brushing. Extremely durable and high tensile strength due to its firmness. Scratch-resistant. Size averages approximately 2.4 square feet. Thickness approximately 1.3-1.5 mm or 3-4 ounces. Ideal for footwear, handbags, wallets, belts and other small leather goods.
