Tekton spark plug sockets have an interior rubber grommet that firmly grips the neck of spark plugs for careful removal and installation. The thin walls and extended length of the socket allow you to reach deep into spark plug wells. The 6-point socket opening provides an exact fit and maximum contact with spark plugs. Radiused corners prevent damage to a spark plug by applying force to the flat sides, rather than the corners. The large, stamped markings are permanently impressed into the material by a roll-stamp die and are as large as possible while still being readable along the socket’s curved surface. The chrome-plated exterior is highly corrosion resistant and wipes clean to a mirror finish. The socket is protected against corrosion with chrome plating on the outside and chrome plating supplemented with a clear coat or painted finish where needed for full coverage on the inside. Detent grooves and beveled edges provide a smooth and secure connection with the drive tool.
