- These are authentic, genuine black tiger shrimp. Raw and uncooked. There are two varations. One, shell on and headless. Two, peeled, deveined and headless. Black tiger shrimp are known for their slightly sweet taste and firm flesh (a perfect ‘snap’ – great for shrimp cocktail and on the barbeque).
- Each shrimp is ice glazed and then quick frozen to protect the quality of each shrimp. There are 16-20 shrimp per pound (or between 80 and 100 shrimp in 5 lbs). Black tiger shrimp are sustainably farmed and chemical-free.
- To thaw, remove the shrimp you want to prepare and put them in a colander and rinse with cold water ,or put the shrimp in the refrigerator for a few hours or overnight in a colander on a plate or in a bowl lined with a kitchen towel (the saltwater glaze will melt as the shrimp thaw).
