- Recommended Maintenance: For best results, this sleeve should be cleaned on a consistent basis after installation. The quartz sleeve will accumulate minerals from the water and should be cleaned about every 3 months. Once the mineral layer becomes permanent and can not be removed, or the sleeve cracks or breaks, the sleeve needs to be replaced.
