The chapter ring uses a two-layer embedded construction to add depth and visual character that cannot be achieved with a flat, single-piece design. Because of this layered structure, very minor alignment differences between the chapter ring and applied hour markers may be visible when viewed under magnification. This is a known and expected characteristic of this construction method and falls well within normal manufacturing tolerances.
